Flagstaff to Hold Peoples Climate March, 100 Days of Resistance

FLAGSTAFF,Ariz. Thousands of people throughout Arizona and the country will be marching in the Peoples Climate March on Saturday to stand up for communities, climate justice and the world's future. Flagstaff's environmental and community groups have come together to organize Saturday's march, which begins at City Hall.

“We're marching because President Trump and his administration are a threat to the future of our planet, the safety of our communities and the health of our families,” said Ryan Beam of the Center for Biological Diversity.

Saturday is the 100th day of Trump's presidency, and marchers will be pledging 100 days of resistance to the administration's attacks on hard-won protections for the climate, health and communities, and the rights of people of color, workers, indigenous people, immigrants, women, LGBTQIA and young people.
